All of our timbers are selectively sourced and expertly sawn at our own dedicated sawmill. Our in-house capability to cut timbers to any size and specification is a great asset when producing timber frame homes.

Douglas fir
Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) is often the standard against which all other Timber Framing species are measured. It possesses a superior strength-to-weight ratio, high specific gravity, excellent nail and plate-holding capability, and excellent dimensional stability. Douglas Fir's light rosy color is set off by its remarkably straight and handsome grain pattern. The sapwood is white to pale yellow; heartwood is russet with high contrast between the springwood and summerwood.
Other species available are Western larch (Tamarack), Lodgepole pine, Yellow pine, White pine, Spruce, and Western red cedar to name but a few.
